A couple of late fallers at Aintree! Ladies Day revellers take a tumble at the last after a hard day’s partying (and flashing the flesh) at the Liverpool racecourse

After hours of free-flowing champagne, lager and G and T, it was inevitable it would end like this at Aintree. 

Thousands of modestly and immodestly race-goers attended Ladies Day today at the Grand National Festival in Liverpool. 

But for many the alcohol had taken its toll as revellers found the going worsened during the day from good to soft then heavy as night fell. 

Many race-goers were feeling the effects of drinking even in the afternoon as several were seen swigging alcohol directly from the bottle.

And a few of the ladies ended up showing off a lot more than they bargained for when they set out for the day, with one woman cheekily allowing her friend to pull up her skirt to reveal her black thong underneath.

The drinks were flowing fast at Aintree, in Liverpool, from the morning to the evening, as race-goers enjoyed the second day
